The supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit can be divided into three categories:

- the so-called revelation gifts (the message of knowledge, the message of wisdom, the distinguishing between spirits)

- the gifts of power-faith, gifts of healing, miraculous powers

- the gifts of speaking-prophecy, different kinds of tongues, the interpretation of tongues

The goals of these gifts are as follows:

- continuing and extending the service of Jesus Christ in every nation

- building and strengthening the Body of Christ

- satisfying and supplying the spiritual and physical needs of the Church

The Bible exhorts every Christian to eagerly desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit in his life and service. The working and manifestation of these gifts are a desired part of the service; they must be used, however, in good and correct manner and in subjection to the Word of God.
